Meet Diana Tenes

Diana Tenes is a Mexican American artist, author, entrepreneur and community educator based in Vallejo, California. She created Get Your Happy!® to help people connect through joyful conversation, storytelling and creativity.

An award-winning creative professional, Diana holds a BA from San Francisco State University and an AA from FIDM, and works as a community educator and workshop facilitator across the Bay Area — at art events, schools, senior programs, business gatherings and private celebrations.

She is a vendor with the Vallejo City Unified School District (VCUSD), bringing Get Your Happy! experiences to students, staff and the broader community. Her writing has appeared in Narrative Paths Journal and Authority Magazine, drawing on a creative career that includes costume design work with actress Cicely Tyson.
